Spire Financial Consulting LLC is a small, growing firm specializing in complete financial solutions for Individuals and Businesses through Tax Reporting and Compliance, IRS Representation and Reporting, Business Accounting and Payroll Services, and Financial Health and Wealth Building. We are excited to reach our client's financial goals and seek an experienced Tax Reviewer to join our team.
 
Core Responsibilities
Review and finalize client tax returns and documentation, including but not limited to 1040s, 1041s, and 1065s. Keep track of deadlines and deliverables for multiple clients. E-file tax returns, extensions, and estimated tax payments using tax software. Work with federal, state, and local tax agencies about tax inquiries and rules. Explore legal deductions to save money for clients. Complete continued education and training on tax laws. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with all information. Provide other support as needed.
 
Must possess an active unrestricted credential
EA, CPA, or JD.
PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number)
Proof of Error & Omissions Insurance

Proficient knowledge of file handling and organization, leading tax software (TaxAct, Tax Dome), PDF, word processing, and spreadsheet applications. Dedicated technology, including but not limited to: a computer with a microphone and video capabilities, phone, high-speed internet access, and active virus protection.

Critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills; be self-motivated and organized with time-management abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills through various mediums with a client-centric focus.
 
How you fit
This position is a remote, seasonal part-time contract-based, for the expected period between January 15, 2023, and June 15, 2023, with potential opportunities to extend. Spire is committed to providing necessary support and training for all team members and requires accessibility during a set prearranged time within normal business hours, Monday through Thursday.
